Swainson’s Hawk (Buteo swainsoni), Spotted Towhee (Pipilo maculatus), Summer Tanager (Piranga rubra), and Blue Grosbeak (Passerina caerulea) have been seen here.

Snow trillium carpets some of the hillsides and can be found throughout much of the park in early to mid-April.
