| Comments | Itasca State Park is the jewel of Minnesota’s State Park system. In November, 1965, it was designated a National Natural Landmark. Within it’s borders are the headwaters of the Mississippi River, the former largest red pine in the state, and the Itasca Wilderness SNA. |
