Massassachusetts birds had been separated as a subspecies, Myiarchus crinitus boreus based on the size of the bill. However, this is a regional variation and does not justify separating as a subspecies. Currently, there are no recognized subspecies of Myiarchus crinitus. |

Published on Jul 1, 2012 Great-Crested Flycatchers frequently make their nest over water and I was lucky enough to capture them. I would have liked to film the young also but a heat wave ruled that out. |

Uploaded on Jun 11, 2010 This is a great close up of A Great Crested Flycatcher going into the nest that they have been working on for some time don't know how many eggs, but hope to get video of the young when they hatch. So this would be a great time to Subscribe because I plan on taking video of them daily if i have time to find out when her eggs hatch and to see what she bring the young to eat. There is feeders close so you will hear other birds around has already been stocking the hummingbird feed for wasps I have plenty of great bird habitat Around the house Just have to get the time to get out in it and see what i can find. My plans are to video as many different bird as i can find and post them here on You Tube for others to enjoy. |
