	This out-of-the-way SNA is located within the Nemadji State Forest and is adjacent to Wisconsin’s Black Lake Bog State Natural Area. The only access is via the Gandy Dancer state ATV/OHM trail, or by canoe from Wisconsin. Beldon Road, a state forest road, merges with the Gandy Dancer Trail, and autos can be driven north on the trail to the parking area at the SNA. N46 21.393, W92 18.860

	The 30-mile long Gandy Dancer Trail follows the west boundary of the SNA from north to south for a distance of 2.25 miles.

	About Jun 11, 2020 Let’s be real, most of us probably won’t be making the trek out to Black Lake Bog SNA, or any peatland SNAs for that matter. They’re large, buggy, wet and difficult to navigate. But, whether or not you ever see it in person, it is rewarding to know that we, as Minnesotans, have together protected this important habitat for the rare and wild in Minnesota.
