Size

558 acres

Marcoux Prairie Preserve consists of two widely separated units. The East Unit is 153 acres purchased in 2012 and 160 acres added in 2015. One half mile west, the West Unit is 85 acres purchased 2017 and 160 acres added some time later. The Nature Conservancy (TNC) Web page for this site reports the size as 719 acres. If this is accurate, the remaining 160 or 161 acres may be a quarter section connecting the two units. The boundary information provided by TNC does not include this latest addition, and does not accurately display the 2017 addition.
