In 2012, The Nature Conservancy acquired a 145-acre parcel of land adjacent to their Ordway Prairie Preserve. This became the Ordway Prairie Addition Preserve. In 2016, they acquired an adjacent 111-acre parcel, expanding this preserve to 256 acres.
