What’s in a Name?
The official name of this park is Thomas Sadler Roberts Bird Sanctuary. The sign at the entrance, the stone memorial, and the Website all use the shortened name Roberts Bird Sanctuary.
Important Bird Area
Roberts Bird Sanctuary is part of Minneapolis Chain of Lakes Regional Park, which is included in the Audubon Society’s Minneapolis Chain of Lakes/Theodore Wirth Park Important Bird Area (IBA).
