History

This preserve began with the purchase of 75½ acres in 2011. It has grown steadily since then with separate purchases of adjacent parcels, one in 2013 and two in 2014, and nearby parcels, one in 2015 and one in 2016. In 2019 a 150-acre parcel was purchased conecting the north and south units, and increasing the total area to 806 acres. However, the boundaries of that parcel have not been released to the public by The Nature Conservancy.
