| Birds | Two bird species with protected status in Minnesota have been seen here: Special concern – Greater Prairie-chicken (Tympanuchus cupido), Marbled Godwit (Limosa fedoa) Large numbers of Sandhill Cranes gather here during their migration south every year. |
