Description

The body is mostly brown. The front of the head pale orangish-yellow.

The plate covering the thorax (pronotum) is pale orangish-yellow with two large brown spots. The hardened wing covers (elytra) are brown with a thin, pale orangish-yellow line and a thin, pale orangish-yellow outer margin. The markings on the pronotum and elytra resemble those of a firefly (family Lampyridae).

There is a small, triangular indentation on the forehead (frons) between the eyes, and a prominent ridge on the head between the frons and the upper lip (labrum).
