Special concern – Greater Prairie-chicken (Tympanuchus cupido), Marbled Godwit (Limosa fedoa)

Other birds seen on this site include Upland Sandpiper (Bartramia longicauda), Sandhill Crane (Grus canadensis), Sedge Wren (Cistothorus platensis), clay-colored sparrow (Spizella pallida), Le Conte’s Sparrow (Ammodramus leconteii), Western Meadowlark (Sturnella neglecta), and Bobolink (Dolichonyx oryzivorus).

Other insects seen on this site include dusted skipper (Atrytonopsis hianna), silver-bordered fritillary (Boloria selene), meadow fritillary (Boloria bellona), common wood nymph (Cercyonis pegala nephala), inornate common ringlet (Coenonympha tullia inornata), clouded sulphur (Colias philodice), monarch (Danaus plexippus), Melissa blue (Plebejus melissa melissa), and great spangled fritillary (Speyeria cybele).

Moose (Alces alces) have been seen here in the brush.
