Acer negundo is a species of maple tree commonly known as the boxelder or Manitoba maple. It is native to North America and can be found in various regions such as the eastern and central United States, southern Canada, and parts of Mexico. Boxelder trees have a relatively short lifespan, typically living for only 60 to 80 years. |

Boxelder trees are often used as ornamental plants in landscaping because they are relatively fast-growing and can tolerate a wide range of growing conditions. They are also sometimes used for their wood, which is soft and not particularly valuable, but can be used for pulp, crates, and other low-quality products. The sap of the boxelder tree can also be used to make maple syrup, although it is generally considered to be of lower quality than that of other maple species. |

Description |

Boxelder trees typically grow to be medium-sized, reaching heights of around 50 feet (15 meters) tall. The leaves are compound with three to five leaflets and are typically 2 to 4 inches (5 to 10 centimeters) long. The bark is gray-brown and has shallow grooves. |
